License and Legality

Our Licence

Love Casino operates under a Curaçao eGaming licence, number 8048/JAZ. We’ve had this since 2023. It’s a real licence from a real regulator. Curaçao takes online gaming seriously. But it’s not the same as a UK Gambling Commission licence.

The licence requires us to use certified RNG. To do KYC checks. To separate player money. To keep records. We do all of this. We follow Curaçao law. But we don’t follow UK Gambling Commission rules because we’re not regulated by them.

UK Gambling Commission

The UK has the Gambling Commission. They’re strict. They regulate casinos that want to operate in the UK market. If Love Casino wanted a UK licence, we’d have to meet much higher standards. More compliance staff. More reporting. More expensive.

We didn’t go that route. We’re Curaçao-licensed. This means you don’t get UK Gambling Commission protection. You don’t have access to UKGC dispute resolution. You’re dealing with Curaçao law and Curaçao regulators.
